Tools intended to increase productivity and save time sometimes don't. Make tech work for you.
I don't have time for all the interesting articles colleagues share. What's the electronic equivalent of a dog-eared journal? When I do have a minute and want to use my waiting time productively, I can't find what I wanted to catch up on.
What to do:
Try Evernote. They win for most descriptive logo.
Why to do it:
• Keep everything you want to revisit in one place.
• Access it from anywhere--via web, desktop application, mobile app
• Easily organized to find what you need.
• Find text in pictures. Can't take notes? Snap a photo in Evernote, search for the info you want.
• Save attachments from emails you opened via your phone or tablet.
• Increase productivity, decrease frustration.
How to do it:
• Set up a free account.
• For $45/ year, get better optical character recognition and more storage space.
• You can do so much via web, but make it even more useful by installing the desktop program and smartphone apps
Bonus:
• As soon as you hit Done, your note synchronizes across platforms.
• Wherever you sign into Evernote, your notebooks are in sync.
On your tablet, you can read, add, and edit notes that you created online, on your own computer, via smartphone....
• Set up your account through LastPass, and let it generate a strong password you won't have to remember.
Just ask and I'll tell you about the web clipper, which makes revisiting things even more awesome.
Caveat:
• Evernote on the web, desktop, smartphone and tablet all differ slightly in look and feel. Here's hoping future updates make the transition from one device to another smooth and seamless.

About this series: It's all about what you can do, not what the technology can do. These are tools I use--there's no promotional consideration.
